After our visit to Uganda last year, we told you about the unsafe situation that had arisen at the Little Stars School, because one of the buildings showed major structural defects. The walls were crumbling and on the verge of collapse. The renovation work took place at the beginning of this year and was completed in May, so that the classrooms were safe for the students again. We were happy to see that the work had been done so thoroughly and that there is now a beautiful, solid and safe building for the students.
In addition to the Little Stars School, we visited four other schools and met twelve children sponsored by the Joanne Foundation. Unfortunately, in such a short time it is impossible to visit all ten schools and see all twenty children we support. That’s why we had to make a choice.

We talked to teachers and school administrators, we looked at the children’s work, we listened to the singing students and watched the dancing students and of course we paid extensive attention to ‘our’ children. We were happy to see that all the children were doing well. They are happy and healthy and the results are also good. Nice!
